Frequently Asked Questions

Here are just a few of the questions that we are frequently asked about what Merry Hearts Ministries is all about:

How in the world did you come up with the character, "Eula Mae Etheleen Ledbetter?"

Teresa:  It is all my friend, Leigh-Ann Pearce's fault!  We were working together at the District Attorney's office in Smithfield and one day over lunch I was telling her about putting together a Pastor's Wife Appreciation Banquet for my Pastor's wife, Regina Cashwell.  She came up with the name and also the name for the late-husband..."The Reverend Doctor Deacon Jaspter T. Ledbetter, III."

We discussed how Eula Mae would be a bit on the, uh, "flashy" side!  Eula Mae also is not at all dainty but she tries really hard to be as dignified as she can!  It is always a constant challange because stuff just happens to her!

Danny:  One thing that I have learned is that there is not a whole lot of difference between Eula Mae and Teresa!  I told Teresa that when we both get to heaven...I won't waste time looking for her...I will just listen for her laugh!

Do you just perform the comedy when you go and minister?

Teresa:  Oh no...that is just one area of Merry Hearts Ministries.  I am also available to deliver the message for a Sunday Morning service or be the special speaker for your Women's conference. Of course...I can't help myself so you can expect any message to be sprinkled with comedy throughout!

Danny:  Teresa also loves to sing!  She will usually sing a couple of songs and I take care of all the sound equipment...we are a team!

What do you charge?

Teresa:  The answer to that one is..."We don't!"  People always seem genuinely amazed at that answer but it is true.

We do not have a set fee to come and minister.    God has blessed us abundantly over the last few years to be able to pay for all of our sound equipment through donations from various churches and precious individuals that believe in what we are doing.

Danny:  We certainly appreciate any size offering to help cover our travel expenses but it is never required.  We truly love what we do and are always willing to go when the Lord opens a door!

When will you have a CD recorded of you singing?

Danny:  That is on my "honey-do" list from Teresa, hopefully soon we can start working on one.  I love to hear Teresa sing too and I want to share her gift with all of you!
